Large Whole Elk Antler Dog Chew

My dog can't have "regular bones" so to keep her from having at the shoes and the furniture we give her the large whole elk antlers. She loves it! It's usually about10-12 inches long and she chews them down to 3 inches! Once she did it in a week but usually we have a month with these antlers. They have saved a lot of our belongings!

I have an APBT and he loves these. He weighs in at 50lbs. The large would be the smallest size I would go with for him.. The mammoth was too big.I think I will try the XL next.

Our young border collie loves to chew his antler. During the recent fireworks mayhem in LA this helped keep him calm and collected. I'm ordering another one right now.

Our 19-week-old Lab is shedding his milk teeth and truly needs to chew - he bloodies his chew-toys because his gums are all torn up by his emerging adult teeth. The Elk antler chew is now Tucker's favorite toy and he spends 30 minutes at a time with it, leaving it bloody as well. Based on a week of wear, this antler will last several months before it's small enough for Tucker to swallow. Like any bone toy, the antler tends to develop sharp edges at the cut ends where Tucker works it hard, but these are easily dulled with large-grit sandpaper or my belt sander.

I have had dogs for over thirty years, and have worked at a dog shelter for the last 6. I was always conscious about providing my dogs with quality enrichment toys, etc. It was only after finding Mountain Dog that I realized what a difference there is as far as antlers is concerned. I respect the fact that they are naturally harvested and are not treated with anything. I have purchased Elk antlers for my own dogs and have bought many for the dogs at our shelter with the confidence that I know they are quality chews.

Our staffy-pit tears apart every toy he's ever had. Stuffed toys don't last more than a night and while the Goughnuts infinity donut has lasted a long time, we find shreds of it around the house. This antler is his absolute favorite. No one is allowed to touch it and he's been trying to "bury" it around the house. He's had it for a week and only just scratched the surface. Definitely great for these winter days when he can't go out to play.
